Don't do events without it. The developer has done some amazing work with this and his response time to issues is fast. We use this for a 1200 seat banquet and beyond the obvious advantages of a seating chart and a digital check-in I have found that once participants are seated it can also organize attendee data and export to a spreadsheet better than the stock Raiser's Edge, which has been a huge help.
